Eidos today announced new details about its upcoming action racing game from Climax, Crash 'N Burn. In this game players choose a car, paint it, polish it, and personalize it to their liking. Then they can add new components including giant spoilers and reinforced fenders. And if that's not enough for you, supercharge it with nitrous. From there players take their monstrous creations to the back street circuits of Miami, San Francisco, L.A. and New York for some rough and tumble racing action.

The primary objective is to take first place and the secondary objective is to run everyone else off the road by crushing them, running them into the barrier, slamming into them, and grinding them into anything nearby until their vehicles are a burning mess on the track. And if the AI controlled players don't satisfy your joy for destruction, then a human opponent can be found online - the game supports up to 16 players online (PlayStation 2 and Xbox). Crash 'n' Burn will be showcased on the Eidos stand (South Hall #924) at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), May 12-14. Check out the new trailer at www.crashnburngame.com. Crash 'n' Burn will be available on PlayStation 2 and Xbox this autumn.
