Empire Interactive announced today that FlatOut will be shipping to the U.S. this summer.

Already achieving success in Europe and the UK, FlatOut features a unique physics engine and has fully destructible environments, with over 40 destructible car pieces. Any object damaged stays in the race, whether it's something in the environment or the cars themselves. The damage can affect the cars performance, ranging from poor steering to throwing the driver from their car.

FlatOut allows players to partake in 36 tracks and 12 bonus events inside one of 16 upgradeable cars. Other modes include various mini-games, destruction derbies, and a head-on collision event.

FlatOut will ship in on June 14 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC.
