Some people have been wondering how many teams can participate in a team slayer match, and how you'll be able to tell them apart. Yet another Shane (last names are helpful, people!) wonders:
I've heard rumors that in team games you can play as different colors besides red and blue (like yellow and black). I was wondering if you could clear this up, and if it is true, if you can have multiple teams in a team slayer match. Thank you.Well, Shane, first of all, you're welcome. Secondly, yes, you'll be able to play Team Slayer and matches like that with a group of teams. When we played the multiplayer hands-on a few weeks ago, we actually played a Team Slayer game that featured eight teams, with two players on each team. It was fast, it was furious, and it was a little confusing. I had a great time playing this mode on some of the smaller maps, as you could just toss a grenade into a group of foes and not really worry about killing your teammate.

Of course, in order to make sure that every team doesn't look alike, there are a wide variety of team colors for you to choose from. If I remember correctly, each color had a few different shades and hues, although there were some that a little too much like other ones. For instance, the difference between red and crimson is pretty minimal, so it might be best to choose colors that aren't alike.
It'll be interesting to see what type of ugly color schemes people come up with when creating clans or characters. I was a big fan of the brown/pink/yellow color combination. I figured that there was a good chance that my foes would take pity on my awful fashion sense and lay down their arms. Needless to say, that wasn't the case.
