More Dancin'...

Next up is Dance Dance Revolution ULTRAMIX 4, the latest version for Xbox. Like its PS2 brother, it'll have over 65 tracks and the usual mix of new features, including online play. One cool point is the ability to download songs from prior versions off of Xbox Live. It does cost five bucks for every five songs, however. Ultramix 4 is due out this fall, earlier than later. Just a Bit More Dancin'...

Last -- and least, in this case -- comes Dance Dance Revolution UNIVERSE, which brings the series' love of irregular capitalization to the Xbox 360. Unfortunately, no new info has been revealed since we last checked in on it at E3, so check our E3 article for the lowdown. No song list yet. Sorry. The game is still due out this winter, which could mean either 2006 or 2007.

I lied; there's more. Rounding out the DDR stable are two DDR titles that plug directly into your TV without the need for a game console (Majesco is handling the manufacturing for Konami). Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix and Strawberry Shortcake Dance Dance Revolution definitely sound like they're aimed at a younger audience, though it might be fun to see their song titles. We wonder if any of the weird tracks from the ultra-rare Dance Dance Revolution Disney Mix on PlayStation will make it in. Doubt it!
